As part of our Country in Focus: A celebration of Moroccan Cinema, this dedicated day will highlight case studies of collaboration between Ireland and Morocco as well as showcasing new opportunities. We have partnered with the Centre Cinematographique Marocain (CCM) who will bring a group of experienced producers to discuss opportunities available for collaboration between Irish and Moroccan productions.
The schedule of the day is still being confirmed but it will include:
• Case Study: The Boy Who Never Was: An in-depth discussion featuring Irish production company Subotica and Moroccan producer Hamid Herraf sharing insights into their TV series filmed in Morocco.
• Introduction to Contemporary Moroccan Cinema: Presented by the Moroccan Cinematographic Centre (CCM), providing an overview of modern Moroccan filmmaking.
• Shooting in Morocco: Locations and Services: A delegation of Moroccan producers will highlight Morocco’s production services, iconic filming locations, and opportunities for Irish-Moroccan collaboration.
• Meetings and One-to-One Networking: We will facilitate networking between Irish producers both established and emerging with our invited Moroccan producers.
Moroccan Cinema Day is sponsored by the Moroccan Embassy.
