Silent Shorts Gala + LIVE MUSIC
This show will offer three newly restored masterpieces of slapstick comedy, by three (or let's say four) of the most famous comedians of the silent years: Buster Keaton, Charley Chase and Laurel and Hardy. Not only are these films hilarious for the whole family, but they are also surrealistically funny. With live piano accompaniment from Serge Bromberg presenting and playing, the show will be one of these unique experiences of classic silent cinema. Serge Bromberg is a French film restorer and accompanist. He has previously visited the festival in 2016 and 2020.
