Sylvia (Chastain) is a social worker who leads a simple and structured life. This is blown open, when Saul (Sarsgaard), suffering from early onset dementia, follows her home from their high school reunion. Franco approaches unstable pasts and presents with extreme gentleness and delivers something delicately absorbing. The film won its leading man, Sarsgaard, the Volpi Cup for Best Actor at Venice.
